Family origin and vocational inspiration
I come from a traditional Brazilian family.
My paternal family originates from Belo Horizonte, one of the largest metropolitan cities in Brazil. It was there that I was born. My maternal family originates from the lovely Historic Town of Ouro Preto, which I have rich and beautiful memories of my childhood. My maternal grandmother Maria Menezes was born there. She was an artist and, until her old age, she made several oil paintings on canvas of the Baroque churches of Ouro Preto. My mother, inspired by grandma, also studied Arts and was dedicated to paintings techniques for furniture. Later she came to graduate in Interior Design, same degree I have today.
Ouro Preto is known by its Eclecticism, defined as a mixture of architectural styles with elements of classical, gothic, baroque and neoclassical architecture. Characterised by symmetry, magnificence and rich ornamentation.
